The location listing is a table of all of the dealer records. You can add/remove fields that are displayed in the location listing table using the “Field Layouts” feature. In addition to normal fields about the location address, there are helpful fields such as:
Active – Checked box will indicate that the location is set to active and can be displayed in a search.
Geocoded – Checked box will indicate that the location address has been geocoded.
Geocoding Level – This field will display the depth of the geocoding process.
- Street This is the ideal level.
- Not Available This indicates that the geocode coordinates for the address has been cached prior to the creation of the location data. This is not an indication of a problem with the Geocoding Level.
- None Indicates the location has not been geocoded. Open the location editor for this dealer and confirm the correct information is in place and then re-save the location data.
- Zip This indicates the location is only geocoded to the zip code level. Possible reasons for this: invalid street address, no street address, inaccurate address format. Open the location editor for this dealer and confirm the correct information is in place and then re-save the location data.
- Nearby zip This indicates geocoding only to a zip code that is close by. It may indicate a non-existent zip code. Open the location editor for this dealer and confirm the correct information is in place and then re-save the location data.
- Partial (3) zip This indicates location is only geocoded to an area defined by the first three characters of the zip code. It may indicate an invalid or non-existent zip code. Open the location editor for this dealer and confirm the correct information is in place and then re-save the location data.
- Partial (5) zip This indicates location is only geocoded to an area defined by the first five characters of the zip code. It may indicate an invalid or non-existent zip code. Open the location editor for this dealer and confirm the correct information is in place and then re-save the location data.
- City This indicates the location is only geocoded to the city level. Open the location editor for this dealer and confirm the correct information is in place and then re-save the location data.
- Airport This indicates the location is geocoded to the Airport Code level
